At TEAM Cloud, security isn’t just a feature. It’s a fundamental value. We know that the trust our customers place in us begins with their data, and that trust is earned through robust, transparent, and verifiable cloud security practices.
In today’s digital world, the risks of neglecting security are too high. From data breaches and ransomware attacks to regulatory non-compliance and reputational damage, the consequences of weak security can be severe. That’s why we’ve built TEAM Cloud from the ground up with security by design, and why we back our efforts with internationally recognised certifications.
New Zealand businesses and organisations are increasingly relying on cloud infrastructure to run critical systems, store sensitive data, and support service delivery. But as cloud adoption grows, so too do the risks. A single misconfiguration, unpatched vulnerability, or weak access policy can open the door to major breaches.
Neglecting security is no longer just a technical failure. It’s a business risk, a compliance issue, and a breach of customer trust.
At TEAM Cloud, we believe that keeping customer data safe isn’t just about ticking boxes - it’s about doing the right thing, upfront, every time.
We know trust must be earned. That’s why our security posture isn’t just a claim - it’s backed by rigorous third-party audits and compliance certifications.
TEAM Cloud is hosted within certified, DIA-compliant New Zealand data centres and built on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), a platform that meets over 80 global and regional compliance standards, including:
SOC 1, 2, 3 (System and Organization Controls)
Validates internal controls related to security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy, key for financial and operational assurance.
ISO/IEC 27001, 27017, 27018
International standards for information security management (27001), cloud-specific security controls (27017), and protection of personal data in the cloud (27018).
PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard)
Required for any organisation handling credit card transactions, ensures secure processing, storage, and transmission of cardholder data.
HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act)
U.S. standard for protecting sensitive patient health information, critical for health sector workloads and service providers.
FedRAMP (Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program)
U.S. government cloud standard focused on stringent security assessment, authorisation, and continuous monitoring.
GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation)
European regulation governing data privacy and protection, especially relevant for any organisation with EU-linked data or users.
NZ Government Cloud Compliance (DIA PCDCC)
TEAM Cloud is the first and only NZ-owned cloud provider certified under DIA’s Public Cloud Data Centre Controls, meeting the most rigorous NZ government cloud standards.
IL5 (Information Level 5)
Defence-grade security standard used by U.S. Department of Defense and other high-assurance sectors—demonstrates suitability for classified and mission-critical workloads.
These certifications demonstrate that TEAM Cloud is equipped to protect sensitive, regulated, and high-assurance workloads - from government to enterprise, health to finance.
TEAM Cloud’s architecture applies a defense-in-depth model across every layer of infrastructure. That includes:
Tenant isolation and role-based IAM to restrict access by design
Default encryption for data in transit and at rest
Granular network control through segmentation and policy
Comprehensive monitoring, auditing, and logging
Strict physical security across six defined data centre zones - from biometric access controls to cabinet-level security
Combined, these layers ensure that data is not only protected from external threats, but also from internal misconfigurations, privilege abuse, and third-party exposure.
As a New Zealand-owned and operated company, we don’t just see security as a checklist. We see it as our responsibility to protect the digital future of Aotearoa New Zealand. That means respecting sovereignty, complying with local laws, and upholding the trust our customers place in us every day.
