TEAM Cloud was proud to participate as a Silver Sponsor at eResearch NZ / eRangahau Aotearoa 2026, Aotearoa New Zealand’s leading conference for research communities, held from 10–12 February. Organised by REANNZ in collaboration with Genomics Aotearoa, and supported by MBIE and the wider research sector, eResearch NZ provides a national forum for innovation, collaboration, and professional development in digital research.
For 17 years, the eResearch NZ series has brought together researchers, IT specialists, and academics to explore how digital tools can advance research outcomes. Through presentations, panel discussions, workshops, and networking, the conference showcases innovative projects, highlights emerging trends in eResearch, and fosters skills development, mentoring, and knowledge-sharing across communities.
Given TEAM Cloud’s involvement in the research and education sectors, and the community’s continuing interest in cost-effective cloud infrastructure, data sovereignty, and scalable solutions, we were excited to be involved in the conference.
At the event, TEAM Cloud connected with researchers from across Aotearoa, hearing firsthand about the challenges they are tackling, from scaling compute workloads and maintaining secure, sovereign data environments to leveraging AI to accelerate research initiatives. In areas such as genomics, processes that once took years are now being significantly reduced through advanced computing and data capabilities. It was encouraging to see the level of collaboration across the community and the shared focus on delivering meaningful research outcomes.
As part of our participation, we highlighted how TEAM Cloud’s FastConnect offerings provide secure, high-performance connections to REANNZ, supporting researchers and institutions in building scalable and sovereign cloud solutions for their digital research needs.
