It’s been one year since TEAM IM ANZ formally launched TEAM Cloud, New Zealand’s first hyperscale sovereign cloud platform, powered by Oracle Cloud.
Held on 24 July 2024, the launch event brought together leaders from across industry and government to discuss the future of digital infrastructure in New Zealand. It marked the beginning of a new chapter, one grounded in local control, strong partnerships, and long-term impact.
Twelve months on, we’re proud of the momentum we’ve built.

We have expanded our regional presence, grown our partner ecosystem, and launched new initiatives supporting local talent and innovation. Highlights include the official launch events with Oracle, iwi ownership, and the opening of our Auckland North and Auckland West regions. We achieved Public Cloud Data Centre Certification (PCDCC) from the DIA for both regions, secured strategic partnerships, and proudly supported Inland Revenue’s migration from AWS, delivering a 48% reduction in cloud costs.
We’ve backed transformative projects such as the Moanamana Marine Science app and emerging work in sovereign AI and agents, while continuing to connect and celebrate with our clients and partners.
