TEAM Cloud has won the Tech Partner – Cloud category at the Reseller News Innovation Awards 2026, alongside TEAM IM, recognising the partnership’s contribution to cloud innovation and customer outcomes in New Zealand.
The award highlights the role of the TEAM IM and TEAM Cloud partnership in delivering cloud migration, managed services and modernisation projects through local expertise, shared intellectual property and packaged solutions.
For TEAM Cloud, the recognition reinforces our commitment to providing New Zealand-owned and operated sovereign cloud infrastructure that helps organisations maintain greater control over their data while achieving practical business benefits.
The Reseller News Innovation Awards recognise organisations and individuals making a meaningful contribution to New Zealand’s technology sector.
TEAM IM and TEAM Cloud were named winners of the Tech Partner – Cloud category, which recognises partners using established and emerging technologies to enhance customer innovation.
The award reflects the strength of a partnership that combines TEAM Cloud’s sovereign cloud infrastructure with TEAM IM’s local delivery expertise, helping customers move beyond cloud strategy to successful implementation and measurable results.
New Zealand organisations increasingly need to balance cloud performance, cost efficiency, security and control over where their data is held.
TEAM Cloud provides a New Zealand-owned and operated sovereign cloud, powered by Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), supported by local expertise and infrastructure.
A standout example is Inland Revenue’s migration of its enterprise content management system, Stax, from AWS in Sydney to TEAM Cloud’s infrastructure in Auckland.
Completed in 2025, the project involved securely transferring 14TB of data, equivalent to more than nine million production objects, within a 24-hour cutover window.
The results included cost savings of more than 48% compared with previous hyperscale cloud fees, improved data sovereignty, enhanced security and performance, and access to local support.
The migration demonstrates how sovereign cloud infrastructure, combined with experienced delivery partners, can help New Zealand government organisations achieve meaningful operational and financial benefits.

For TEAM Cloud, innovation is about more than infrastructure. It is about working with partners to make cloud technology accessible, practical and valuable for New Zealand organisations.
Through our partnership with TEAM IM, we bring together local technical expertise, cloud capabilities and delivery experience to support customers through migration, modernisation and ongoing cloud operations.
Ian Rogers, co-founder of TEAM Cloud and TEAM IM, said the award reflects the importance of combining technology innovation with local capability.
“Winning this award is recognition of the work our team and partners are doing to build a stronger New Zealand cloud ecosystem. Our focus is on giving organisations access to modern cloud technology while keeping local expertise, customer outcomes and data sovereignty at the centre of what we do.” - Ian Rogers, TEAM Cloud/TEAM IM
